Prof. Stoyan Nihtianov
Stoyan Nihtianov (M’93-SM’98) is a principal researcher and a chair of the Sensors Council of the high-tech company ASML BV – The Netherlands. He is also a Honorary Professor at the Technical university of Sofia - Bulgaria, and has an academic part-time position at the Delft University of technology. He is serving as a topical editor of the IEEE Sensors Journal, responsible for the “Sensor interfaces electronics” topic. His research interests are in the field of smart sensors and sensor systems. He has more than 160 scientific papers, 27 patents and 3 books.
Prof. Kofi Makinwa
Kofi Makinwa is a Professor at Delft University of Technology. His main research interests are in the design of analog circuits and sensor interfaces. This has resulted in 250+ publications, 25+ patents and 10+ books. From 1989 to 1999, he was a Research Scientist at Philips Research Laboratories, Eindhoven where he worked on interactive displays and the analog front-ends of optical and magnetic recording systems. He is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, an IEEE fellow, an ISSCC top-10 contributor, and a co-recipient of 15 best paper awards, from the JSSC, ISSCC, VLSI, ESSCIRC, Transducers and ISCAS among others.
